Myopia, also known as near-sightedness, is a condition where the eye grows too long for where light is normally focused. Without intervention, myopia tends to progress especially if found earlier in life. High amounts of myopia not only affect the glasses prescription, it can also put patients at higher risk for retinal conditions such as retinal detachment and posterior staphyloma. At Eyes on the City, we’re dedicated to providing the most up-to-date options below to slow myopia progression.
